Model Beth Stern, the former Beth Ostrosky and wife of radio shock jock Howard Stern, will host the inaugural ‘Kitten Bowl’ during halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII in February.
It is high, it is FUR, it is gone!
You may hear Yankees radio announcer John Sterling ammend his famous call during halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII when he will be calling the inaugural “Kitten Bowl” on The Hallmark Channel on February 2nd, the network posted on its website.
Yankees radio man John Sterling will announce the ‘Kitten Bowl.’ No, seriously.
Taking a page from the “Puppy Bowl” on Animal Planet, Hallmark is counter-programming with the “Kitten Bowl” hoping to tap into the expansive cat-lover base during the break in the action.
The cuddily tilt will be called by the longtime Yankee radio host, known for his overly-dramatic exclamations and, of course, numerous (and hilarious) mixed up calls.
Here’s Mrs. Stern, who is a spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League, with a furry friend.
The “Puppy Bowl” began as a counter program to the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which will feature pop singer Bruno Mars this year.
The show will be hosted by model and animal lover Beth Stern, the wife of radio shock jock Howard Stern (what, no Suzyn Waldman?).
With Stern and Sterling in the mix, you can easily say: Kittens win – THEEEE KITTENS WIN!
