Video has surfaced of a party in Mexico where an assassin disguised as a clown opened fire on notorious drug lord Francisco Rafael Arellano Felix.
Amateur video of the party where feared Mexican drug kingpin Francisco Rafael Arellano Felix has shown up on YouTube.
In the footage, the killer is clearly seen — dressed in a bright clown costume complete with fright wig and a big red nose – striding purposefully in front of a concert band that is entertaining a room full of partygoers in gowns and tuxedos.
Off camera, a shot is heard. But the band continues to play. Then more shots are heard as people begin screaming and running.
The October killing of Felix, 63, remains unsolved. He and his brother Eduardo Arellano Felix, who is in a U.S. prison on money-laundering charges, formed the deadly Tijuana Cartel , which once controlled virtually all drug trafficking along the border of California and Mexico.

Tijuana Cartel founder Francisco Rafael Arellano Felix is shown in this undated arrest photo. He was assassinated last month at a party in Baja California, where police say they have no suspect and no motive.
In all, seven Arellano Felix brothers ran the empire during the 1990s, but the arrests or deaths of most of them has significantly reduced the cartel’s power.
