Workers asked Marc Drummond to move the Volkswagen Caddy as they were about to resurface the sidewalk.

‘He said I could not lay a finger on the car,’ said the owner of the cement company that trapped it in the resurfaced sidewalk.

Drummond refused, claiming the sidewalk had been used to sell cars for 20 or so years.

As tempers rose, the workers came up with a solution: they left the car where it was, but resurfaced the sidewalk anyway, meaning the vehicle is now a permanent feature on the pavement.

“He said I could not lay a finger on the car,” said Celso Antonio de Faria, the owner of the cement company, according to Metro.
